Death Of Theresa Raftery Late Thurles, Co. Tipperary

It was with sadness we learned of the death yesterday, Saturday 27th June, 2020, of Mrs Theresa Raftery (née Long), Craughwell, Co. Galway and late of Borrisoleigh, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

Mrs Raftery passed away following a short illness most bravely borne and while surrounded by her loving family.

Predeceased by her best friend and beloved husband Donal, her sons Brian and James and her sister Noreen Long; the passing of Mrs Raftery is most deeply regretted by her loving daughter Rachel; sons Gerry, Tom, Eddie, Shane and Daragh; grandchildren; sisters Frances Caplis (Clonoulty), Kathleen Fox (Kilfinan); brother Lar (Naas); brother-in-law Ailbe; sisters-in-laws Ann (Raftery) and Ann (Long); son-in-law, daughters-in-law; nieces; nephews; cousins; extended relatives; neighbours and friends.

Requiescat in Pace.

Funeral Arrangements.

In keeping with Government guidelines regarding public gatherings; in relation to the Covid-19 virus, a family funeral Mass will take place at 12:00 noon on tomorrow Monday, June 29th, in St. Colman’s Church, Craughwell, Co. Galway, followed by interment immediately afterwards in Ballymore Cemetery.

As a mark of respect and to further demonstrate your support for the Raftery family at this sad time, mourners may form a static guard of honour, adhering to the specific guidelines on social distancing.

A memorial Mass, in celebration of the life of Mrs Raftery will take place at a later date, for all who may wish to attend.
