Covid-19 Update: Mon. 15th June 2020 – Zero Death – 18 New Cases

The total number of Covid-19 virus cases confirmed here in Co. Tipperary; as of midnight on Saturday, June 13th, remains at 541, with Zero new cases identified over the previous 24-hour period.

This evening, the Department of Health has confirmed that there has been Zero additional deaths caused by Covid-19 in Ireland over the last 24 hours. These latest figures leave the total number of deaths caused by this pandemic currently at 1,706.

This evening, it has also been confirmed that an additional 18 new cases of the virus have been identified, bringing the total since conception, here in the Republic of Ireland, to 25,321.

Irelands Chief Medical Officer Dr. Tony Holohan has confirmed that there have been Zero admissions to ICU since June 9th last. He also stated that an analysis of cases reported in the last fourteen days indicates that the number of daily cases continues on a downward trend.

Dr Siobhán Ni Bhriain, Consultant Psychiatrist and HSE Integrated Care Lead, strongly recommends that those using public transport, or entering retail environments or any other area where people can’t be sure that a 2 metre physical distance from other people is possible; they should wear face covering. Face covering is also strongly advised when visiting those that are vulnerable amongst our population.

Dublin has the highest number of cases at 12,213 (48% of all cases) followed by Cork with 1,533 cases (6%) and Kildare with 1,434 cases (6%)
