It is with sadness we learned of the death today, Sunday 22nd September 2019, of Mr Philip Maher, Abbey Road, Thurles, Co. Tipperary, formerly of Stradavoher, Thurles, Co. Tipperary and Shanard Road, Santy, Co. Dublin.
In his 100th year; Mr Maher passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family, while in the care of the staff at Ardeen Nursing Home, Abbey Road, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.
Predeceased by his first wife Norah and deeply regretted by his devoted wife Ena; his daughter Anne; sons Gerard and Fergus; grandchildren Joanne, Daniel, Caithlin and Orlaith; great-grandchildren Jade, Kaden, Grace and Saffy; son in law Joe; daughters in law Catherine and Deirdre; brother in law Liam; nephews; nieces; extended relatives; Irish Shell and B.P. colleagues; neighbours and friends.

Funeral Arrangements
The earthly remains of Mr Maher will lie in repose at Hugh Ryan’s Funeral Home, Slievenamon Road, Thurles, on Tuesday evening, September 24th, from 4:30pm to 6:30pm, to arrive at the Cathedral of the Assumption, Cathedral Street, Thurles at 7:00pm.
Requiem Mass will take place on Wednesday morning September 25th at 11:00am, followed by interment immediately afterwards in St. Patrick’s cemetery, Moyne Road, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.
