It was with great sadness we learned of the death, on Sunday 4th November 2018, of Mr Richard (Richie) Purcell, No.8 Ayrfield, Lord Edward Street, Kilkenny City, Co. Kilkenny and formerly of No.8 St. Patrick’s Terrace, The Commons, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.
Mr Purcell passed away unexpectedly, while at Beaumont Hospital, Dublin, and his passing is most deeply regretted by his wife Mairead; son Joey; brothers Edward, John, Michael and Gerry; sisters Lelia, Noreen, Alice, Teresa and Martha; uncle; brothers-in-law; nephews; nieces; extended relatives and friends.
Funeral Arrangements
The earthly remains of Mr Purcell will lie in repose at Johnston’s Funeral Home, John’s Green, Kilkenny on Wednesday evening from 6.00pm with Rosary at 7.30pm.
Requiem Mass will take place on Thursday morning at 10.30am in St. John’s Church, Dublin Road, Kilkenny, followed by interment immediately afterwards in the Old Churchyard, Ballingarry, to arrive at 12.15pm approximately.
Note Please: No flowers. Donations in lieu, if desired, to the Richmond Intensive Care Unit.(IC.U.) at Beaumont Hospital.
