It was with great sadness that we learned of the death yesterday, Tuesday 31st July 2018, of Mrs Olive Fitzgerald (née Quirke), ‘Sunbury’, Cregboy, Co. Galway, formerly of Shannon, Co. Clare and Thurles, Co. Tipperary.
Beloved wife of Allan Smith and the late Dick FitzGerald; Mrs Fitzgerald passed away peacefully following a short illness, while in the loving care of her family; daughters Terri, Helen; son Dick, sons-in-law Neil and Richard; daughter-in-law Sinéad; adored grandchildren Megan, Aaran, Cian, Owen, Abbey, Ciarán and Brendan; brother Richard; sisters Mary and Geralyn; brothers-in-law; sisters-in-law; extended relatives; neighbours and friends.
Funeral Arrangements
The earthly remains of Mrs Fitzgerald will lie in repose at ‘Sioraiocht’ (Irish Translation – ‘Eternity’) within the grounds of the Church of the Assumption and St. James, Claregalway, on tomorrow afternoon, Thursday, 2nd August from 4.30pm, with removal to the Church at 6.30pm.
Funeral to arrive at St. Peter’s Church, Moycarkey, Thurles, Co. Tipperary for Requiem Mass at 2.00pm on Friday next August 3rd. Interment to follow in St. Peter’s cemetery, Moycarkey, Thurles.
