It was with great sadness we learned of the death yesterday, Tuesday 5th December 2017, of Mrs Maeve Maher (née Stakelum), Glenreigh, Holycross, Thurles, Co. Tipperary, formerly Thurles, Co. Tipperary.
Predeceased by her husband Tommy; Mrs Maher passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family.
Her passing is most deeply regretted by her loving family; daughters Rita (Hayes), Kathleen (Hartnett), and Imelda (Harkin); sons Robert, Ned, Francis, Tom and Michael; Sr Imelda (latter her sister); brother Mick; sister-in-law Annie (Stakelum); grandchildren; great grandchildren; daughters-in-law; sons-in-law; nephews; nieces; extended relatives; neighbours and many good friends.
Funeral Arrangements
The earthly remains of Mrs Maher will repose at Hugh Ryan’s, Funeral Home, Slievenamon Road, Thurles, on tomorrow evening, Thursday 7th December, from 5.00pm to 7.00pm; to arrive at Holycross Abbey on Friday morning December 8th at 11.00am. Requiem Mass will take place on Friday at 11.30am, followed by interment immediately afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
