Up to 800 cannabis plants worth an estimated €650,000 were discovered and seized in a raid in Nenagh, County Tipperary on Thursday last.
Members of the National Drugs Unit, together with local gardaí from the Nenagh area, carried out a search of a premises at Moanfin, close to Nenagh town, as part of ongoing investigations into the sale and supply of drugs here in County Tipperary.
It is understood that a man believed to be in his 30’s, has been arrested, after gardaí seized the large quantity of ‘Cannabis sativa,’ plants. He is now being held at Templemore Garda station, Thurles, Tipperary, under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice Act.
