Laura & Thomas

The wedding took place, today, of the very lovely Miss Laura Irwin, daughter of Mrs Marian and Mr Bernard Irwin, Moyne Road, Thurles, Co. Tipperary, to Mr Thomas Ryan, son of Mrs Josephine and the late Mr Noel Ryan, Ballykisteen, Co Tipperary.

The marriage took place in the historic Cathedral of The Assumption, Thurles, with the ceremony presided over by Rev. Fr. Jim Irwin, Uncle of the bride.

Escorted down the aisle by her father Bernard, the bride looked stunningly beautiful in an ivory coloured, strapless afternoon gown, covered in beaded lace, with “Sweetheart” neckline, highlighted against a delicate full length veil.

Equally beautiful were her accompanying bridesmaids, Carol Irwin and Lorna Irwin O’Grady, who both wore full-length strapless mocha coloured evening gowns, with pleated bodices & corsage style flower attaching the waist.

The groom, Thomas, and his groomsmen, Philip Ryan & Daire Heffernan, looked dashing in grey evening suits, elegantly highlighted by white wing collared shirts and matching ivory waist coats & silk cravats. Also adding to the splendour of this occasion were Flower Girl, Saoirse Ryan and Pageboy Daniel Ryan.

Scripture readings were undertaken by Miss Fiona O’Sullivan & Miss Lisa Wong, while Prayers of the Faithful were recited by Miss Ciara Hanley, Miss Niamh Hanly, Mr Darren O’Sullivan, Mr James Edinborough, Miss Evelyn O’Brien & Miss Hazel Hallahan.

The couple exchanged their vows in front of a large gathering of family and close friends, while music and song for the ceremony was performed by the very talented duo of Miss Ann-Marie Dwan & Miss Eva McNally.

A video recording of the days events was undertaken by top videographer Mr Padraig Nolan (Star Systems).

Following the ceremony, the new Mr & Mrs Ryan retired to the popular wedding venue, Ballykisteen Hotel, Limerick Junction, Co.Tipperary, where guests, on arrival, were entertained to a champagne reception together with other light refreshments.

Following family photographs, the newly married couple joined over 200 guests in the hotels “Banqueting Suite” for dinner, which was followed by dancing late into the evening.

The couple have chosen America as their favoured honeymoon destination.

Laura & Thomas from all your family and many, many friends here in Co.Tipperary, go all our best wishes to you both for a happy, healthy and prosperous future together.
