Una Healy & Ben Foden Wedding At Kilshane House.

Kilshane House, Tipperary.

The Saturday’s Band star, Thurles native Una Healy and her English rugby player fiancé Ben Foden will celebrate their wedding at an exclusive country house here in Co.Tipperary.

Kilshane House situated three miles outside Tipperary town, on the Tipperary to Bansha road and at the end of a half mile long daffodil lined driveway, is likely to play host to what will be possibly the most discussed wedding of 2012.

Management at the magnificently restored Regency house which dates back to 1822, remained totally tight-lipped regarding her plans, but the venue has been booked for what promises to be a star-studded wedding, expected possibly later this year.

Una and Ben’s choosen venue, Kilshane House stands as the centre of some 320 acres of private parkland, which includes a remarkable restored Victorian landscape garden, a trout river, a man-made lake, billiard room, and supberb equine and quod biking facilities. Three eighteen foot high French doors open out onto a terrace overlooking the man-made lake and this venue also boasts a large glass Orangerie, circa 1860, presently home to palm trees, tree ferns, and banana trees.

The setting is ideal for that champagne reception or fine dining, while comfortably accomodating their expected large guest list. For guests there are three golf courses within fifteen minutes of the house and an introduction to birds of prey, allowing guests the opportunity to fly hawks, owls or falcons during their stay. Helicopter hire is also available and a 2 to 3 day programme can be arranged for guests if needed.

Recently the singer and rugby player secretly paid a visit to Kilshane House and are understood to have been particularly impressed by the privacy and security this venue offered.
